Missions

At One Church, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, serving our city and sharing His hope with the world. We believe in meeting real needs and making disciples wherever we go. From our local streets to the nations, we are dedicated to showing God’s love through our actions and telling His story to everyone we meet. Please keep these missionaries in your prayers.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

Jordan H.

Vienna, Austria

Jordan has partnered with a local church-planting movement in Austria called LIFE Church, which is working toward planting a church in every city in the nation. He has joined as the worship pastor of their international church in Vienna. Alongside this role, He’ll be actively involved in outreach events, discipleship courses, occasional preaching, and launching men’s Bible studies and discipleship groups to help the congregation grow deeper in their faith.

Through his work in media, he is passionate about capturing and sharing what God is doing around the world through cinematography, photography, and journalism. His mission is to tell the transformational stories of God’s work through His people—to inspire others to give, go, or start something new in their own communities.

Christa & Stanley Gitonga

Nairobi, Kenya

Their vision is to see both their congregation members at PEFA (Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa) Runda and the students at Rosslyn Academy changed by God’s love to build His kingdom throughout Kenya.

Stanley grew up in the slums of Nairobi yet through hard work and trusting in Jesus, left that context. He obtained his Bachelor of Theology, Master’s in Christian Leadership, and completed one year of doctoral studies in organizational leadership. He's been teaching at the high school and college levels and pastoring for 15 years respectively, with six of those years being the lead pastor at PEFA Runda. In 2006, Christa became a missionary to Nairobi, teaching in a local slum school. After marrying Stanley in 2008, she taught at Rosslyn Academy ever since. Christa also obtained a Master’s in Christian Leadership and has taught for 21 years in public and local schools in Canada and Kenya. God has blessed them with three beautiful children: Hilary, Naomi, and Joshua.

Randy & Sandy Huebert

Mexico

El Refugio (The Refuge) was built for the purpose of providing a safe location where anyone can come serve in short-term missions in Ensenada, Mexico, and be challenged to grow in their faith. Located approximately 2 hours south of San Diego, El Refugio was designed for individuals, families, and groups up to 45 people.

God placed a burden on our hearts to begin a safe home (Casa Esther) for high-risk girls and teens that have been rescued from situations of neglect, abuse, prostitution and/or drug abuse. Casa Esther can hold up to 25 girls, providing them with a safe, supportive, loving home environment.

CDWST

Thailand

Serving as an English professor and volunteering with the NGO, Imagine Thailand is providing J.  and C. opportunities to participate authentically in the lives of the university students and others in their community. Thailand’s deep south is economically poor and faces many challenges in the midst of instability. With a significant Muslim population and with only a 0.19% population of Evangelical Christians, there is a great need for the impact of the gospel. Their desire is to intentionally build relationships with students on the University campus and those that they encounter and share the hope that they have and see their friends come to a committed relationship with Christ.

Brad & Roxanna Murray

Costa Rica

MINISTRY FOCUS: Brad & Roxanna work directly with churches, leaders, and emerging disciplers across Latin America, helping them develop a culture of obedience-based discipleship and mission.

Through training, coaching, and ongoing relationships, they are seeing:

New Discovery Bible Studies starting in homes and communities

Believers gaining confidence to share their faith in everyday life

Churches becoming more outward-focused in their communities

Leaders equipped to train others.

As this takes root locally, it naturally begins to extend globally. This has become a key part of their strategy—they are seeing that those most engaged in local mission are often the ones who begin to consider their role in global missions.

While still in the early stages, they are beginning to see a shift—Latino believers growing in vision and readiness to be part of reaching the nations.

They are also intentionally partnering with mission-sending organizations that are prioritizing the least-reached and harder-to-access nations. As churches are mobilized, they help connect emerging workers into these pathways—so that those who are called are not only inspired, but equipped and sent.

From Costa Rica, they serve as a bridge—helping mobilize the church locally while linking that momentum to global mission efforts focused on the unreached.

YOUR IMPACT: Your partnership helps equip and mobilize believers across Latin America to live on mission in their everyday lives—and from there, to engage in God’s mission to the nations.

Together, they are seeing people step into sharing the gospel, discipling others, and growing in vision for reaching those with little or no access—both near and far.

MINISTRY HISTORY: Brad came to faith as a teenager and developed a passion for missions early through his involvement with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). He has since served in ministry for many years and holds a bachelor’s degree in theology, while also operating a home renovation business.

Brad and Roxana met while serving in Guatemala. Roxana, a Costa Rican physician by training, now plays a key role in their family and ministry life. While in Canada, they helped co-pastor a church plant and launched the “Talking Missions” podcast to encourage others toward missions, this started the road down Mission's Mobilization.

Now based in Costa Rica with their two sons, Andrew and Stephen, they are focused on equipping and mobilizing believers across Latin America.
